Buying a leather belt? 7 Tips from a Style Expert

A belt for men is as important as jewellery for women. Wear a statement belt and enhance your looks without working too hard. With a wide variety of belts available, it gets a bit confusing on how to choose the right one.

Here are the 7 tips from a style expert –

#1 First of all, understand the difference between a formal and a casual belt. A formal belt will have the same width as that of your thumb. Isn’t it simple? If the belt is wider than your thumb, it is a casual belt.

#2 If you have gained weight, buy a new belt instead of trying to make holes in your existing one.

#3 Just because your favourite actor sported a casual belt with Superman logo buckle does not mean you do the same. Even if it is a casual belt, avoid those loud and cheap buckles.

#4 There are belts studded with pieces of metal. You can give this type a skip unless you are in the weekend mood.

#5 You can wear your belt with shorts provided you are going to play golf. This can only be your Sunday look.

#6 Keep things straight. Always wear a casual belt with jeans and a formal belt with trousers. Avoid mixing things!

#7 If you are not wearing your belt at any occasion, do not even think of tucking your shirt in.

T-shirts for Men – How to choose the right fit

Did you know – a poorly fitted t-shirt does a lot of damage to your personality. If you are wearing a baggy or loose t shirt, you are simply telling the world that you don’t care about the way you look.

Here are the 5 tips to get the fit right –

#1 Make sure that your sleeves are slightly shorter and end above the elbow. You can even roll up your sleeves to flaunt your well built arms.

#2 It all starts from the shoulders. Choose the right fit based on your body shape. If your slim, opt for slim fit t shirts whereas if you are heavily built, go for a regular fit t shirt.

#3 Look for tapered cuts so that they don’t drape around your waist area.

#4 The right length of a t shirt is when it does not finish at the beginning of the hips.

#5 Lastly, a t shirt that fits you right should let you move around comfortably.
